We are proud to present a award winning film produced by Hongkongers entitled ‘Rather be Ashes than Dust’ 寧化飛灰.
On the 5th anniversary of the Hong Kong Anti-Extradition Bill Movement, the documentary ‘Rather be Ashes than Dust’ by former journalist and Hong Kong director Alan Lau, chronicles the movement from the perspective of a frontline journalist, capturing the entire movement and experiences of the Hong Kong people.
‘Rather be Ashes than Dust’, acclaimed at a number of international film festivals, is being shown to mark the second anniversary of the Hong Kong Overseas Media. The film portrays coverage of the 2019/20 protests by Hong Kong journalists – the frontline witnesses to Hong Kong biggest ever protest movement. Director Alan Lau will attend the sharing session after the screening session.
